MIDWEST BIORESEARCH ADDS LABORATORY INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Skokie, IL (March 10, 2008) - Midwest BioResearch LLC (MBR), a contract research organization focused on drug disposition and toxicology, implemented a Thermo Scientific Watson Laboratory Information Management System™ into their laboratory. Watson LIMS 7.3 is ideally suited for the needs of pharmacokinetic and bioanalytical laboratories, and complies with GLP regulations and 21 CFR Part 11 guidance.
The new system allows for automatic processing of datasets into an Oracle database for easier retrieval and analysis of data. The Watson LIMS has interface capability with analytical instruments; supports a wide range of pharmacokinetics/toxicokinetics analyses; and organizes study results in a unique document management system.
Watson will benefit MBR’s clients by accelerating project turnaround and data reporting to the client, while strengthening data security through an electronic audit trail system.
“Adding the Watson LIMS allows MBR to more efficiently support our clients, providing them with added confidence in data collection, storage and reporting.” said Michael Schlosser, president of Midwest BioResearch. “The capabilities of the Watson LIMS will provide MBR with opportunities to scale our business and increase sales.”
MBR will have the Watson LIMS handling data from all of their major instrument software including the Sciex Mass Spectrophotometers (Analyst Software), SpectraMax (SoftMax software), MesoScale (Mesoscale Workbench), and the Agilent HPLC system (Chemstation).
